Xena has given birth! Xena gave birth to a boy on approximately June 24th (date not yet confirmed).

Sierra’s calf can also be seen in this video swimming quickly across the screen.

Located in the side pool at Arctic Cove.

Xena has a very noticeable triangular notch in her mouth on the upper left side. She has two scratches over her left eye and four vertical scratches underneath that same eye. She has a horizontal scratch along her left lower jaw. From her right side, she looks a little bit like Kelowna. She has two small nicks on the right upper side of her mouth and a small nick on the front of her lower jaw but otherwise her right side is unmarked. She has a pointy, duck-like rostrum and a circular melon. She also has darker eyes.

Xena is one of the higher ranking, dominant belugas. She rarely interacts with people at the glass. She is very observant and always has an eye on what’s happening. She is usually one of the more serious belugas who keeps the other whales in their place. She gave birth to her fourth calf, X4, this year.
